About The Position

The part-time Cashier at IGA Market processes guest purchases, handles payments, bags orders, and helps maintain an efficient checkout experience. The role includes providing friendly guest service, keeping the work area clean, supporting team members, and following cash-control and carryout procedures.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 15 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Successful use of math skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Effective communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts.
Ability to bend and lift to load guest orders into cars.

Responsibilities

Accurately process guest orders to ensure sales are properly recorded.
Handle money and tender accurately to ensure proper accounting of transactions.
Bag guest orders and place them in the cart or hand them to guests, following Floco Foods carryout practices.
Work well with team members to support the community.
Maintain a clean work area.
Direct guests into checkout lanes to maintain guest flow and meet the standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane.
Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
