About The Position

The Cashier provides personal guest interactions that build genuine relationships and deliver a brand-aligned experience. The role accurately processes orders and payments, bags and carries out purchases according to company practices, maintains a clean work area, and helps manage checkout flow. The Cashier also follows cash controls and procedures to reduce shrink and performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 15 pounds constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Demonstrated successful use of math skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts.
• Ability to bend and lift to load guests’ orders into cars.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process guest orders to ensure sales are recorded properly.
• Handle money and tender accurately to ensure transactions are accounted for properly.
• Bag guests’ orders, place them in carts or hand them to guests, and follow Lowes Foods carryout practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to grow community.
• Continually maintain a clean work area.
• Direct guests into checkout lanes to maintain guest flow and meet the standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane.
• Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
