About The Position

The Cashier provides personal guest interactions that build genuine relationships and create a brand-aligned experience. The role processes guest orders and payments accurately, bags orders and follows carryout practices, helps maintain guest flow at checkout, and keeps the work area clean. Pay starts at $13 per hour.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 15 pounds constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Demonstrated successful use of math skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to retrieve and push in shopping carts.
Ability to bend and lift to load guests’ orders into cars.

Responsibilities

Accurately process guest orders to ensure sales are properly recorded.
Handle money and tender accurately to ensure proper accounting of transactions.
Bag guests’ orders, place them in the cart or hand them to the guest, and follow Lowes Foods carryout practices.
Work well with team members to grow community.
Continually maintain a clean work area.
Direct guests into checkout lanes to maintain guest flow and meet the standard of no more than two guests waiting at one lane.
Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
