About The Position

The Cashier helps grow community by providing personal guest interactions that build genuine relationships and create a brand-aligned experience. The role processes guest orders and payments accurately, assists with bagging and carryout, supports guest flow, maintains cash controls, and keeps the work area clean.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 15 pounds constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Demonstrated successful use of math skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts.
• Ability to bend and lift to load guests’ orders into cars.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process guest orders to ensure sales are recorded properly.
• Handle money and other forms of tender accurately to ensure transactions are accounted for properly.
• Bag guests’ orders and place them in the cart or hand them to the guest, following Lowes Foods carryout practices.
• Work well with team members to grow community.
• Continually maintain a clean work area.
• Direct guests into checkout lanes to maintain guest flow and meet the Guest Arrival standard of no more than two guests waiting in a lane.
• Maintain cash controls and procedures to eliminate shrink.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
