About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is locally owned and operated and has been doing business in Hawai`i for over 75 years. This is a part-time position with 24+ hours per week. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred, and candidates with open availability will be prioritized. The essential duties and responsibilities include providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money, bagging customer orders, and assisting shoppers in finding items. Responsibilities also include cleaning and dusting check stands and surrounding areas, and returning products to their proper shelf locations. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Responsibilities
- Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems
- Handling and counting money
- Bagging their customers' orders
- Help shoppers find items in the store
- Assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
- May take “return” products back to proper shelf locations
- Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
- Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
- General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
- Resolving service and product related customer service issues
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
- Abiding by all company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed
