About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company with over 75 years of history in Hawaii. This is an hourly, full-time position (40 hours) where Meat Cutters are responsible for ensuring meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Their duties include receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. They also order and stock prepackaged deli and frozen food items within the meat department. Key responsibilities include maintaining proper inventory control and product rotation to ensure freshness, minimize waste, and assist customers with special requests and product inquiries. Meat cutters utilize equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program.
Must have TB Clearance.
Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensuring meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products.
Receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products.
Ordering and stocking prepackaged deli items and frozen food products under the meat department.
Ensuring proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste.
Assisting customers with special requests and answering questions about meat products and services.
