Foodland Super Market, Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer, is hiring for General Merchandise (GM) Clerks to join its team. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: ensuring the general merchandise section of the store is well-stocked for customers. General merchandise products include but are not limited to, health and beauty products, over-the-counter medicines, candy, magazines, tourist items, and seasonal merchandise. Ordering, receiving, storing, and stocking products while ensuring proper inventory control, product rotation and quality. Creating and building product displays, ensuring proper fronting of products, and handling product damages and credits according to company policy. Must be familiar with store products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items. Must be able to perform all duties of a cashier as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver, and/or carry up to 50 pounds at, above and below waist level.
- Must pass written, multiple choice math test.
- Must have Tuberculosis Clearance required or Willing to take test upon offer.
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
- Speak/Read/Write - English.
- Applicant should be able to reliably commute to work on time.
- Must have open availability for various shifts as needed.

- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
