About The Position

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin and has been recognized as a “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. The Cashier reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and helps ensure customer transactions run smoothly to maximize customer satisfaction.

The position performs front-end checking, stocking, facing, and general housekeeping duties when instructed. It requires customer service skills, the ability to operate a cash register and department equipment safely and efficiently, and proficiency with scanners, calculators, and basic office equipment. Work hours include flexible shift schedules, overtime, and weekends. Some department equipment may only be operated by employees who are at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Experience working in customer service, preferably in a retail or grocery environment.
• Ability to perform front-end duties, practices, and procedures in a retail or grocery environment.
• Be self-directed and results-oriented, project a positive business image, and lead by example.
• Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Good customer relations skills.
• Ability to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedure, quality, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently with weights, measures, scales, and tally unit product retail prices.
• Ability to run a cash register.
• Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain department equipment.
• Meet physical requirements.
