About The Position

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin and has been recognized as a “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row. The Cashier reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and helps ensure customer transactions run smoothly to maximize customer satisfaction. The role performs front-end checking, stocking, facing, and general housekeeping duties when instructed. Cashiers are expected to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedure, quality, and safety requirements, and to operate department equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Experience working in customer service; retail or grocery experience is preferred.
Ability to perform front-end duties, practices, and procedures in a retail or grocery environment.
Self-directed and results-oriented, with a positive business image and the ability to lead by example.
Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
Good customer relations skills.
Ability to work efficiently with weights, measures, scales, and tally unit product retail prices.
Ability to run a cash register.
Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficiently; must be at least 18 years old to operate certain equipment.
Availability for flexible shift schedules, overtime, and weekends.
Must meet physical requirements.
