Travel Plaza Cashier
About The Position
Onvo Travel Plaza is seeking friendly, reliable Cashiers to serve customers, process transactions accurately, and keep the store clean, stocked, and ready for travelers. The role includes assisting customers, maintaining checkout and merchandise areas, receiving deliveries, promoting loyalty programs and store promotions, and following company policies and safety procedures. Cashiers may also perform other duties as needed. The position requires a positive attitude, dependable attendance, customer service skills, basic math and cash-handling ability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required. The role involves standing for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly service.
- Ring up purchases and process cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
- Handle cash accurately and maintain a balanced register.
- Assist customers with questions and help them find what they need.
- Keep checkout areas, shelves, coolers, and displays clean and organized.
- Restock merchandise as needed.
- Help receive and put away deliveries.
- Promote loyalty programs and current store promotions.
- Address customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
- Support the team with other duties as needed.
