About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout service and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. This role is suited to someone who enjoys helping customers and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. Regular travel is not required, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed.

Requirements

• Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.

• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Help other departments, stock shelves, move carts, and complete other duties as assigned.
