About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you will help customers finish their shopping experience with a quick, friendly checkout and help them get value for their money. You will answer questions, assist with payments and exchanges, and support customer satisfaction. Most of your time will be spent at the register, though you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role is based in a fast-paced environment and does not require regular travel, but occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed.

Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.
