About The Position

The Cashier provides fast, friendly service and helps create a positive customer experience by processing transactions, answering questions, and supporting customers. The role may also include sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate duties. Internally, the position is called Front End Team Member and reports to the store management team. This is a seasonal position expected to last no longer than six months. Team members may apply for a non-seasonal role.

Requirements

Passion for best-in-class customer service and a team-player mindset.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on one's feet for 8–10 hours a day.
Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–3 years of work experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a retail setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying identification, handling payments, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products.
Provide exceptional, personalized service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
Follow applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and help maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
