About The Position

As a Cashier, you provide fast and friendly service and contribute to a positive customer experience. You process transactions, answer questions, and may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. The position is internally referred to as Front End Team Member and reports to the store management team.

This is a seasonal, short-term role lasting no longer than six months. Team members may apply for a non-seasonal role. The anticipated hourly pay range is $14.84–$20.78; actual pay will equal or exceed the applicable local minimum wage and may vary based on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and a team-player mindset.
• 1–3 years of work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on one's feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets; climb ladders; and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying identification, handling payments, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products.
• Provide exceptional, personalized service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
• Follow applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and help maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
