About The Position

The Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Cashiers accurately process purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, support merchandising and merchandise preparation, and participate in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts. They contribute to a positive, safe store culture and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising standards and follow established merchandising procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
