About The Position

The Cashier assists guests with transactions at the cage window, including cashing casino chips and cashout vouchers, making change, and cashing checks. The role initiates guest credit applications by collecting the information required for review and processes marker issues and payments.

The Cashier is accountable for funds, balancing, verifying wins, and handling customer disputes. The position requires accurate record keeping and money handling, effective communication, teamwork, organization, and the ability to manage multiple functions. Work is typically in an area that may be noisy and may contain secondhand smoke.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
• Work cooperatively with fellow team members.
• Be self-motivated, organized, and able to handle more than one function at a time.
• Be proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Have good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.
• Have strong and accurate money-handling and cash-handling skills.
• Have full knowledge of Title 31 and applicable Gaming Control Board regulations.
• Be able to obtain or renew all government-required licenses or certifications, specifically a Nevada Gaming license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have normal or corrected vision, be able to see color, and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Have manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
