About The Position

As a Cashier, you provide fast, friendly customer service by processing transactions, answering questions, and helping customers leave with a positive impression. The position may also include assignments as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, the role is referred to as Front End Team Member and reports to the store management team. This is a seasonal position expected to last no longer than six months; team members may apply for a non-seasonal role. The anticipated close date of the posting is 120 days from the posted date.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and a team-player mindset.
• 1–3 years of work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to walk, bend repeatedly, and remain on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets; climb ladders; and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a retail setting.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying identification, handling payments, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products.
• Provide exceptional, personalized service by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing them about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure compliance with applicable alcohol-sale laws and regulations and help maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
