About The Position

The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. The role handles customer inquiries and transactions, cash, merchandise pricing and stocking, and customer returns. Hours vary, and occasional night or weekend coverage may be needed. The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The work takes place in a retail store, in cold and warm conditions, with an irregular work schedule.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
• Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
