Cashier/Sales Associate - Store 4465
About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, organized, and fully stocked. The role includes cleaning high-use restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and outdoor areas, and taking trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including the deli, and help wherever needed. The position requires weekend and holiday availability, spending most of the shift on one’s feet, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Prior retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required. Employment offers are contingent on a background check, and candidates may be required to complete pre-employment drug screening.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to stay on their feet for most of the shift and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, trustworthiness, flexibility, and willingness to perform varied tasks.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and outdoor areas.
- Pick up litter and trash and take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Work as part of the team and help wherever needed.
