About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate supports store operations by serving customers, operating the register, maintaining merchandise, and keeping indoor and outdoor areas clean and safe. The role includes cleaning high-use restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and the parking lot, and taking trash to the dumpster in all weather. Associates may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and help wherever needed. The position requires working weekends and holidays, being on your feet for most of the shift, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work hard and remain on their feet for most of the shift.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly, positive demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, punctual, and adaptable.

- Previous retail or customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly service and upsell when possible.
- Keep store areas clean and safe, including deep-cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking trash to the dumpster in all weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Sweep and mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help the team wherever needed.
