About The Position
Aloha Island Mart is hiring Cashier/Sales Associates at its Diamond Head location. The role provides prompt, friendly, courteous customer service and performs cashiering, housekeeping, and stocking duties. The position reports to the Store Manager. Pay is $17–$18 per hour, with a quarterly bonus of up to $100 and a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000, depending on experience. The company describes offering competitive base pay, health coverage, tuition reimbursement, and two weeks of vacation after one year of service. Employment may be full-time (35 or more hours per week), part-time+ (20 or more hours per week), or part-time (19 or fewer hours per week). Employees must be available Sunday through Saturday and flexibly work varied shifts, including day, night, swing, or graveyard shifts. Extended hours may be assigned. Training is provided on the job by the Manager and Assistant Manager, and employees must successfully complete the Sales Associates Training Class (BSAT).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully complete the Sales Associates Training Class (BSAT).
- Ability to perform mathematical tasks needed for proper cash handling.
- Ability to provide prompt, friendly, quality customer service.
- Ability to perform stock and inventory duties.
- Ability to perform assigned housekeeping duties.
- No experience required.
- Availability Sunday through Saturday and flexibility to work varied shifts, including day, night, swing, or graveyard shifts.
Responsibilities
- Greet each customer promptly and provide friendly, courteous, quality customer service.
- Perform cashiering duties in accordance with the AIM Cash Policy.
- Follow Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) policies and procedures.
- Follow tobacco-sale policies and procedures.
- Follow security and safety policies and procedures.
- Check in new merchandise in a timely manner.
- Perform stocking and pricing duties.
- Maintain a clean store environment and perform housekeeping duties as assigned or required by company procedures.
- Attend monthly store meetings and training classes.
- Clean gasoline pumps as needed.
- Assist in covering other locations as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
