About The Position
Sales Associates support store operations by providing friendly customer service, operating the register, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and keeping merchandise stocked and presentable. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and outdoor areas, as well as taking trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including deli, and help wherever needed. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, able to work weekends and holidays, and comfortable spending most of a shift on their feet in indoor and outdoor conditions. The position requires basic math and effective English communication skills, along with the ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check may be required. Retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work hard and remain on their feet for most of the shift.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Must have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Must be capable of frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Must be personable, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and flexible.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly service and upsell when possible.
- Keep the store and surrounding areas clean and safe, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking trash to the dumpster in all weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Sweep and mop, clean windows, and maintain organized entryways.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help the team wherever needed.
