CASHIER FRESH GRILL BUFFET
About The Position
Fresh Grill Buffet cashiers are the first employees guests encounter when entering the restaurant and are expected to provide excellent customer service with a smile. They welcome guests, help resolve service issues according to casino regulations, operate the cash register/POS system, and account for cash, charge, and complimentary sales under established policies and gaming regulations. Cashiers also answer phone inquiries about the menu, restaurant, and operating hours; check serving areas for cleanliness and proper setup; maintain an organized work area; promote casino and resort events; complete closing duties; thank guests and welcome them back; and identify VIP, Diamond, and Emerald players to the assigned server. The duties and responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and may be changed, expanded, reduced, or removed to meet the company's business needs. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must read, write, understand, and speak English fluently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be physically mobile, with reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to tolerate industry-standard cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
- Must be able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded and noisy environment.
- Must maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and meet company appearance and dress standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Engage guests in conversation, use the 10/5 rule, use guests' names when possible, and resolve service issues in accordance with casino regulations.
- Provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service.
- Operate a cash register/POS system and account for cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established policies and gaming regulations.
- Answer the phone using proper etiquette and provide information about the menu, restaurant, and hours of operation.
- Inspect serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Promote casino and resort special events and provide their days and times.
- Complete required closing duties at the end of the shift.
- Thank guests for their business and welcome them back as they leave.
- Recognize VIP, Diamond, and Emerald players and relay that information to the assigned server.
