About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring temporary Cashier/Food Service Workers at Christian Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role operates the point-of-sale system, assists with food preparation, prepares coffee, and maintains clean cashier and coffee stations. It also provides service throughout retail areas, including cashiering and line serving. The schedule is temporary and flexible, with days and hours varying across first and second shifts; rotating weekends are included. A temporary-to-permanent opportunity is available.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system and established procedures, maintain accurate cash and receipts, and make end-of-shift deposits.
• Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up the serving line, take and record food temperatures, ensure they are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks of unacceptable temperatures.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase each day.
• Keep refrigerators stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Stock pantries to the correct daily par levels and record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
