About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a temporary Cashier/Food Service Worker at Christian Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role operates a point-of-sale system, assists the chef, prepares coffee, and maintains clean coffee and cashier stations. Work includes food preparation, cashiering, serving customers, cleaning, stocking, and monitoring food and refrigerator temperatures. The schedule is flexible, with days and hours varying across first and second shifts; rotating weekends are included. The position offers a temporary-to-permanent opportunity and pays $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Previous food service experience.
Previous cash handling experience.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Help prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders.
Perform cashier duties using the point-of-sale system and follow established cash-handling procedures, maintaining cash accuracy and receipts.
Make deposits at the end of each shift.
Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving; serve hot and cold items.
Perform general cleaning and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
Inventory and restock supplies and food products; set up items for daily purchase.
Set up serving lines, take and record temperatures, and notify cooks when food temperatures are outside acceptable limits.
Keep refrigerators stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
Stock pantries with the correct daily par levels of food items.
Record replenished amounts and daily refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
