About The Position

The F&B Cashier ensures consistent quality products and prepares and sells food items according to menu standards. The role provides guest service, handles cash transactions, maintains food-service equipment and the work area, and supports inventory and supply needs. The position is based at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove, Kentucky.

Requirements

Knowledge of concession stand operations.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with personnel.
Ability to treat internal and external guests in a manner that supports their satisfaction and exceeds expectations.
Excellent guest-service skills and ability to adhere to company service standards.
Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner.
Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
Oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
Availability to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
Able to stand for 8–10 hours.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent sitting or standing, walking, handling and reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and talking or hearing; may need to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Customer service or Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent service to internal and external guests and greet guests approaching the service area.
Prepare and sell menu items and handle cash transactions.
Clean and sanitize food-service equipment used to prepare and serve menu items.
Operate equipment in the stand.
Maintain current knowledge of daily menus and prices.
Ensure adequate stock of products and supplies needed for service.
Perform opening and closing inventories.
Help ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
Perform stand cleanup and maintain the work area's appearance, including cleaning equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
