About The Position

The Cage Cashier redeems gaming tickets/TITOs and sports wagering vouchers, performs check-cashing and cash-advance transactions, and places sports wagers while helping ensure guests have a favorable gaming experience. The role involves handling and accounting for funds, supporting guest services and casino promotions, and helping maintain the safety and security of guests and Team Members. The position is part time at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove, Kentucky.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license and a Race and Sportsbook Employee License.
Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Able to perform the physical demands described, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Six months of cashiering or banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cash customers out, provide correct change, and answer questions courteously and professionally.
Place sports wagers and redeem sports wagering vouchers for cash.
Accurately count and record assigned funds and exchange funds throughout the shift.
Keep the cash drawer balanced and impressed, and make exchanges with the vault as necessary.
Verify and document personal identification for check-cashing and cash-advance transactions.
Complete CTRs, W2Gs, and MTLs.
Provide customer relations and help ensure guests have a favorable gaming experience.
Fill in as a Main Banker when necessary.
Track and issue player cards for new and existing accounts.
Redeem account points for patrons in exchange for cash or prizes.
Assist with weekly and large-scale gaming tournaments, including registration; greet guests, explain the casino, distribute coupon books, issue Oak Grove Players Cards, handle special coupons, and perform related duties.
Help ensure the safety and security of guests and Team Members.
Assist with setup, teardown, execution, and announcing for promotions and special events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Circulate through assigned areas, including the smoking area, observing players and the functioning of machines.
