About The Position

The Automotive Cashier / BDC Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by handling cashier transactions, answering inbound calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting dealership sales and service operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and helps drive dealership traffic through effective communication and appointment coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer payments accurately via cash, check, credit card, or financing methods.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change when applicable.
  • Reconcile and balance cash drawer daily.
  • Close repair orders and service invoices.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and transaction records.
  • Assist customers with billing questions and payment inquiries.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Answer inbound phone calls professionally and promptly.
  • Schedule and confirm service appointments.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to customers regarding appointments, missed appointments, declined services, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems.
  • Coordinate customer communication between sales, service advisors, and management teams.
  • Follow dealership scripts and processes to maximize appointment show rates.
  • Monitor lead activity and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Promote dealership products, services, specials, and customer retention programs.
