About The Position

The Business Development Center (BDC) / Receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, managing inbound communications, and supporting dealership sales efforts. This individual will greet customers, handle phone and internet inquiries, schedule appointments, and ensure the reception area remains organized and welcoming.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an automotive dealership environment (sales, internet sales, or BDC preferred)
  • Strong background in customer service and/or sales, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong follow-through and organizational abilities
  • Working knowledge of internet-based tools and communication platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with automotive financing processes is a plus
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and manage inbound leads via phone, email, and internet inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department
  • Engage with current customers through phone and email to maintain strong relationships and enhance customer loyalty
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of sales and business opportunities, including referrals, networking, and outreach efforts
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support strategies that drive dealership performance
  • Monitor industry and consumer trends and communicate relevant insights to management and staff
  • Provide accurate information regarding dealership services, inventory, and promotions
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service in all interactions
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area
