About The Position

The Cashier Associate delivers excellent customer service in all interactions at the point of sale. The role calls for bright, outgoing, friendly individuals committed to service excellence, with a warm smile and a courteous manner when interacting with in-person and telephone guests. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evening and weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Cole Hardware positively.
• Greet every customer with a smile as they enter the store and thank customers by name when possible as they leave.
• Follow register transaction and cash-handling procedures.
• Keep customer checkout lines moving quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor phone calls and radio communications promptly, courteously, and effectively.
• Help customers locate products and navigate the store.
• Assist with pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise.
• Keep checkout and entrance areas neat and clean.
• Help keep impulse counters stocked and faced.
• Perform other assigned duties, including training on general product knowledge and in-store services.
