Cash Office Associate, Full Time - Boca Raton
About The Position
The Cash Office Associate plays a critical role in the daily operations of a Bloomingdale’s store. The role supports an easy and enjoyable shopping experience through speed, attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork. Responsibilities also include responding to customer and colleague questions, assisting with gift wrapping, and selling gift cards and greeting cards. The position delivers a luxury customer experience by greeting and engaging customers, resolving credit and loyalty card questions with customers and colleagues, answering calls and connecting customers with a member of the Selling Team, and carrying out Cash Office operations such as deposits, loans, currency exchange, and managing super funds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; candidates with this qualification are encouraged to apply.
- 1–2 years of related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and communicate constantly with customers.
- Ability to work with multiple computer screens and programs simultaneously for extended periods.
- Occasionally move, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Frequently lift 10 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers, providing a genuine and friendly interaction.
- Work with customers and colleagues to resolve credit card and loyalty card issues and questions.
- Greet customers in person and by phone and connect them with a Selling Team professional.
- Execute Cash Office functions and operations, including deposits, loans, currency exchange, and managing super funds.
- Respond to customer and store colleague questions.
- Assist with gift wrapping and sell gift cards and greeting cards.
