About The Position

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Part Time Cash Clerk position, joining our Southwest Philadelphia, PA team! This role is responsible for accurately verifying and processing cash and credit received daily from our Route Sales Employees. Additionally, it assists the Branch Manager, Branch Administrative Assistant, and District Managers with clerical and project-based support.

Responsibilities

  • Counts and verifies accuracy of cash and credit documents received daily from every route sales employee.
  • Assists with documentation and follow up on daily deposits and finalizes all deposits.
  • Organizes daily customer invoices and follows up with route sales employees for required documents, sending them to Accounting.
  • Suggests and implements ideas to increase administrative efficiency.
  • Processes information for new customer accounts and communicates details to Accounting for set-up.
  • Works with management to ensure action plans and business reviews are updated for route sales employees, including timely follow-up.
  • Posts sales reports, creates and laminates signs, and updates sales and/or safety incentive results for posting announcements.
  • Answers phone calls on a multiple-line phone, transfers or redirects calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Professionally and courteously communicates with customers, assisting with problem resolution.
  • Assists the branch manager with the implementation or coordination of various branch meetings.
  • Enters route sales employee load requests at the end of the day, as needed.
  • Orders uniforms for sales and management staff and maintains expense records.
  • Uses Microsoft Office package to prepare presentations, memos, and other written communication.
  • Performs additional clerical duties including filing and data processing.
  • Checks office supplies and orders them as needed.
  • Enters deposit numbers into a report and sends the report to the Staff Accountant at the end of the month.
  • Runs errands as needed and directed.
  • Assists with new projects and company initiatives at the branch level.
