The primary responsibility of the Cash Application Clerk is to accurately process incoming customer payments.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Cash Application experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Daily posting of payments received via Check, Lockbox, ACH and Credit Card
  • Carefully match each payment to the correct customer invoice(s) based on the information provided by the customer
  • Follow-up on any payments not applied the same day as the funds are received
  • Identify and resolve any Cash Application discrepancies
  • Research and process refunds for Customer duplicate payments or overpayments
  • Assist with payment related customer account reconciliation
  • Respond to internal and external customer payment inquiries professionally and in a timely manner
  • Process NSF checks, notifying and following up with the Collection Team until resolved
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
