About The Position

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Caseworker to join our Residential Supports Program (RSP) in Hartford, CT. The RSP Outreach Caseworker is a support specialist who actively supports the philosophy of the agency and maintains a high level of commitment to clients. The Caseworker provides a supportive relationship to clients in need of daily services. The goal is to provide a flexible range of supportive services that assist individuals with mental illness, substance use problems and co-occurring disorders to live in the community as independently as possible. The services we provide are recovery oriented, culturally sensitive to the needs of the individuals we serve, their families and the community at large within an overall managed system of care. Together we address needs regarding mental health, substance use, and housing and facilitate independent living in the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
  • Approved criminal background check (CORI)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
