Caseworker II
About The Position
The Caseworker II position is an entry level caseworker position. CW IIs on our team provide evidence based, individualized services to individuals who are supervised by the Utah Department of Corrections. This is a full time position with state employee benefits. The wage is $24.49 hourly. CW IIs teach psycho-educational classes, utilize data from substance use assessments, and provide case management services to our clients. You will be an important part of a multidisciplinary team working to improve the lives of our clients, reduce their criminogenic risk factors, and increase their abilities to remain drug free. This position is in a community treatment resource center.
Requirements
- Experience providing services to clients with substance use disorders
- Experience providing services to justice involved individuals
- Effective teaching skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of substance use assessments
- Knowledge of criminogenic risk factors and assessments
- Have a basic understanding of working with criminal justice involved women.
Nice To Haves
- College level education
- Experience working with substance use disorders
- Certification as a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor
- Licensure as a Social Service Worker
Responsibilities
- Provides psycho-educational classes.
- Coordinates efforts to find appropriate community resources and services
- Provides case management services directly with clients
- Engages in quality written and verbal communication with clients, the treatment team, community partners, and security personnel
- Maintains accurate documentation of all services provided
