Casework Technician
About The Position
The Casework Technician provides casework support to Rehabilitation Counselors in the Guilford County High Point satellite office of the Greensboro unit. The role supports counselor caseloads and general office needs, requiring knowledge of community resources and local employers and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. The position helps people with disabilities pursue suitable employment and independent living services. It is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule that includes weekly onsite work hours. The position is funded in part through federal funds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proficiency in routine administrative and office support functions, including data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and filing, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide effective front-line service to the public, respond to inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain professionalism in diverse and fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Interview consumers and gather diagnostic data to help counselors determine eligibility and required rehabilitation or independent living services.
- Assist in developing written service plans with consumers, parents, and/or guardians, and enter casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Prepare authorizations and correspondence, and complete related administrative tasks in coordination with the processing assistant.
- Monitor consumers’ progress throughout service delivery.
- Work directly with community partners to help individuals with disabilities become suitably employed.
- Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system in accordance with agency policy.
