The Alaskan Outreach and Resiliency (AOR) Project aims to enhance the health and wellness of American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth and young adults by preventing the onset of psychosis (CHR-P) and mitigating the severity of psychotic disorders. This project employs a stepped-care model, delivering trauma-informed, culturally resonant, evidence-based interventions. It integrates medication management, psychotherapy, case management, family support, and tailored educational and vocational support to meet the unique needs of young individuals experiencing early psychosis symptoms, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes and fostering recovery. This position is responsible for guiding participants in setting goals, developing skills, and securing accommodations related to education and employment, utilizing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Model. The role involves providing continuous support for school or job placements and establishing connections between community agencies, schools, and employers. As a member of the AOR clinical team, this position collaborates with program participants and their families to achieve their individualized treatment plans.
