About The Position

The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is seeking compassionate, detail-oriented professionals to serve as Housing Navigators in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will provide case management, outreach, and assessments for individuals and households seeking housing support. You will connect clients with resources and services related to housing and other determinants of health, helping them secure stable living arrangements and access critical community support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of case management or social services experience required
  • Understanding of social services programs and community resources
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in computer applications and data management
  • Valid Louisiana Driver’s License required; ability to travel to designated locations within 72 hours when requested
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, service providers, and internal teams.
  • Meet with residents to identify challenges and refer them to programs addressing housing and social service needs.
  • Document all activities and outcomes accurately in required electronic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with housing navigation initiatives and organizational policies.
  • Manage case records and collaborate with external partners to support clients.
  • Assist residents during relocation efforts, serving as an advocate and liaison.
  • Attend regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support clients with housing challenges, including rent payments, prevention, and documentation recovery.
  • Add clients to waiting lists for housing programs and maintain up to date housing lists.
  • Stay informed about city, county, state, and federal housing programs and funding opportunities.
  • Perform Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections when required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
