About The Position

Our Housing Navigator provides services and engages with clients, assists them with locating housing, navigating housing-related challenges, accessing community services and programs, and acts as a liaison to the landlord to help prevent avoidable evictions. Housing Navigators work directly with clients, providing support through HUD or USDA programs, or other community agencies. To thrive in this role, you’ll need skill in organizing and managing a significant amount of client participation information, along with the ability to establish and maintain necessary records and prepare clear and concise reports. You’ll need experience communicating with people (staff, vendors, and others) of all backgrounds. As a Housing Navigator, you will learn more about the trauma-informed way that HASCO supports our community’s vulnerable populations.

Requirements

  • Skill in organizing and managing a significant amount of client participation information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain necessary records.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Experience communicating with people (staff, vendors, and others) of all backgrounds.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the health and safety of the community we serve and our employees. Upon acceptance of an offer of employment, a prospective hire must submit a certificate of vaccination to the Human Resources Department.
