About The Position

Prairie Farms is hiring for a 2nd shift Case Dock Laborer. This is a full-time position with a shift differential and a 90-day probationary period. The role is part of the Teamsters Local 50 Union and offers a pay rate of $26.10/hr. plus shift differential. The position requires the ability to work weekends and varying shifts, maintain a forklift certification, and perform physically demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.

Requirements

Must be organized and detail oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evening, nights)
Must maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company
Must be able to stand/walk on your feet constantly during your shift.
Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backwards.
Position requires frequent lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
Must be able to work outside and be exposed to the outside weather/temperature conditions.
Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings.
All plant new hires are required to become members of the Teamsters Local 50 Union.

Responsibilities

Empty cases from the trailers while stacking the empty pallets and then washing the trailer out.
Keep work area neat and clean at all times during the shift.
Clean the case washers on a daily basis to ensure the proper cleaning of cases being supplied to the plant.
Check and document the case washer temperature.
Check and document cleaning solution concentration at least once per shift according to the Master Sanitation schedule.
Complete all assigned paperwork.
All other duties as assigned by management.
