About The Position

Purity Dairies is looking for a Case Dock Laborer for their Nashville facility. This role involves performing all-purpose duties to ensure production schedules are met. Responsibilities include ensuring empty cases are available to production departments, maintaining and cleaning equipment, sliding case stacks from trucks using a milk hook or pallet jack, filling conveyor tracks with empty cases, and confirming the empty case area is full at the end of the shift. The Case Dock Laborer will be required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicate effectively with all departments. Purity Dairy is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a dairy marketing cooperative.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend virtually the entire shift.
Must be able to lift- up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary.
Must be able to work in a wet environment.
May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
Be able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ensuring empty cases are available to production departments to meet production schedules.
Maintain and clean all equipment in assigned area.
Slide case stacks from truck using milk hook or pallet jack as appropriate.
Ensure conveyor tracks are filled with empty cases to prevent production delays.
Confirm empty case area is full of cases at end of shift to help next shift with production run.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Communicate effectively with all departments.
