We are seeking an independent, self-motivated individual to take on the role of client manager, overseeing all aspects of client relationships. This person should be comfortable engaging with clients on a regular basis, providing guidance on the financial implications of significant business decisions through phone calls and celebrating their successes through in-person meetings. Requirements

Completion of Culture Index Survey, link above. Candidates that do not complete a survey will not be considered
Seven to ten years accounting experience, including 3 years in public accounting
Experience with management or supervision of accounting teams
Ability to analyze financial reports and present results and actionable recommendations to clients
Non-profit accounting background and prior experience sitting on boards of non-profit organizations
A Bachelor of Science degree or associate's degree in accounting or a related field
CPA license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
QuickBooks required and Relevant software experience (Karbon, T-Sheets, Gusto, ADP, Expensify, Bill.com, and/or Meevo preferred)
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills -- specifically Excel and Outlook
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to enable effective interaction with all levels of personnel
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Expert at decreasing monthly close time
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary confidentiality, integrity and professional presentation and conduct
Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and independently
An attitude of continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

CPA license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
Relevant software experience (Karbon, T-Sheets, Gusto, ADP, Expensify, Bill.com, and/or Meevo preferred)

Responsibilities

Providing exceptional client service through communication, a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of duties
Onboarding new clients including clean-up work before handing off monthly financial statement preparation responsibilities to staff.
Ability to discuss financial results and planning with a variety of clients and industries (focusing on non-profit organizations) and background providing controller level or CFO advisory services (including ratio analysis, technical accounting guidance, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling).
Delegation, training, and prioritization of tasks and responsibilities to staff, including follow-up to ensure timely & accurate completion in accordance with associated budgets
Review of staff and senior level work, including general ledger transactions, adjusting journal entries, prepared financial statements, account reconciliations, and depreciation schedules
Preparation and review of financial statements
Software implementation and/or conversion
Entering general ledger transactions and adjusting journal entries accurately
Balance sheet account reconciliation (or review)
Fixed asset and depreciation schedule maintenance
Bill payment processing
Sales and use tax calculations and compliance
Payroll processing, calculations, and compliance
Monthly Close
