About The Position
As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Pusher interacts with customers and provides service related to store operations. The role involves returning carts to the store, maintaining parking lot and store cleanliness, assisting with snow removal, and supporting several store departments. The listed shift is 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Requirements
- Be highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
