About The Position

As an entry-level team member, the Cart Pusher works on Meijer’s Courtesy Team and performs a variety of retail tasks and additional store services. The role involves retrieving shopping carts, maintaining cleanliness in store and exterior areas, assisting with returns, and working with multiple store areas and departments. Courtesy Team Members interact with customers and are expected to provide above-and-beyond customer service.

Requirements

• Be highly organized and attentive to detail.
• Have strong listening and communication skills.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
