About The Position

As an entry-level team member at Meijer, you will gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by the store, products, and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond customer service. Cart attendants return shopping carts from outside the store to the store interior, help maintain areas inside and outside the store, and work with several store departments and service areas. The job profile is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized and have a keen sense for details.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using various equipment.
Be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
