About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant supports a variety of store services, retail tasks, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing service that goes above and beyond. Responsibilities include returning carts to the store, maintaining store and parking areas, removing snow safely, processing perishable and salvage returns, and assisting across multiple store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
