About The Position

The Cart Attendant gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance so members have ready access to them. The role also includes keeping carts clean and in working order, removing debris from exterior areas, returning unused merchandise to the sales floor, and performing maintenance and cleaning duties throughout the club. The attendant follows club policies and procedures, supports a safe and positive member experience, and may work in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• May be under 18 for parking lot cart functions; must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.
• Ability to use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects may require assistance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and using ladders or step stools.

Nice To Haves

• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior retail or wholesale experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Ensure carts are well-stocked at the club entrance, clean, and in working order; remove carts that are unsuitable for use.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash receptacles, and pulling pallets.
• Maintain outdoor club grounds, including cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently across the club.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Deliver service excellence, address member concerns, and help provide a safe and positive environment.
• Work collaboratively to maintain club standards, including keeping areas clean and organized and ensuring items are stocked.
