About The Position

Dynamic Connections is seeking a Carrier Capacity Representative to join their reefer division. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong carrier relationships while supporting the sales and operations teams. Requirements

  • Actively source, negotiate, and grow carrier partnerships that support business growth and align with company financial targets.
  • Maintain a customer-first mindset, working closely with sales and operations to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with carrier dispatchers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in dispatching loads, completing administrative duties, and updating the transportation management system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify potential issues, create solutions, and escalate when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to negotiate rates and influence outcomes.
  • A results-oriented approach, demonstrated through meeting daily targets for quotes, pre-calls, and tenders, as well as driving year-over-year carrier growth.
  • Self-motivation and accountability.
  • A relentless desire to win, go above and beyond, and inspire the team through commitment and perseverance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight.
  • Execute purchasing strategies that improve margin consistency by buying capacity at the right price point for long-term profitability.
  • Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers, transitioning relationships from transactional spot-rates to contract rates.
  • Monitor market indices (DAT, FreightWaves, etc.) to ensure procurement costs remain competitive.
  • Ensure onboarded carriers adhere to service requirements for their specific lanes, including tracking, equipment quality, and on-time performance.
  • Maintain accurate carrier profiles, lane preferences, and rate history in the TMS (Revenova).
  • Act as the primary escalation point for managed strategic carriers, resolving high-level issues that may threaten the relationship.
