In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong carrier relationships while supporting the operations teams. This role requires a proactive, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering solutions, building lasting partnerships, and contributing to the long-term success of our team. Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight.
- Execute purchasing strategies that improve margin consistency.
- Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers, moving relationships from transactional spot-rates to contract rates.
- Monitor market indices (DAT, FreightWaves, etc.) to ensure our procurement costs remain competitive.
- Ensure carriers you onboard adhere to service requirements for the specific lanes they service (tracking, equipment quality, on-time performance).
- Maintain impeccable records in our TMS (Revenova), ensuring carrier profiles, lane preferences, and rate history are accurate and actionable for the broader team.
- Act as the primary escalation point for the strategic carriers you manage, solving high-level issues that threaten the relationship.
