About The Position

Signature Labor Services is hiring Carpenter Helpers for commercial and industrial construction projects in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves assisting welders and carpenters, moving hollow metal doors and frames, unloading materials, and general cleanup. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks throughout a full shift and work all assigned hours. Employees must provide and wear required personal protective equipment and comply with the company’s Substance Abuse Prevention Policy. Offers may be conditioned on passing a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in commercial construction.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to complete physical work throughout a full shift and work all assigned hours.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete tasks under minimal supervision.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Must pass a drug screen and required background checks.
Must have proper personal protective equipment: hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves.
Must comply with the Substance Abuse Prevention Policy; employment offers may be conditioned on passing a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Move hollow metal doors and frames.
Assist welders and carpenters.
Unload materials.
Perform general cleanup.
Complete tasks assigned by the site supervisor in a timely manner and under minimal supervision.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Complete assignments involving physical activity for a full shift and work all hours assigned.
Wear required personal protective equipment.
